Habitat: Mainly in saltwater habitats, however there are species that live in freshwater or brackish (mix of both) areas. Those that live on land tend to live in tropical climates.

Behavior: Crabs are aggresive and may fight over territory or female crabs (in the case of males). They communicate by drumming or waving their pincers. They also walk and swim sideways.

Diet: Crabs are omnivores. They eat algae, seaweed, shrimp, clams, worms, snails, mussels, small fish, and even other crabs.
